It is my favorite time of year! Although our leaves are still green and the weather is still warm here in Orlando, the real estate climate seems to be making some seasonal adjustments.
The number of homes sales and pending homes sales are up since this time last year, but down just slightly month over month. These are pretty normal seasonal changes as we leave the summer selling season and have a few less buyers shopping for homes.
The listing inventory is down since last year. That trend in listing availability will likely continue through the end of the year. It is about this time of year that people decide to remove their homes from the market so they don’t have the hassle of dealing with showings for the holidays. People will decide to hold off to list in the new year if they cannot get the price they hope.
The good news is if you are interested in selling your home, this is an opportune time because you will have less competition through the end of the year. And the buyers, they’re still buying! With interest rates at an average of 3.68% in the Orlando market, the buyers are likely to keep on coming! Thinking of selling? Learn about how we sell homes or give us a call at 407-494-2820
