We have crunched the numbers and analyzed the data in the Orlando real estate market for you. It’s mid-August and well it’s hot outside so we’re having some iced coffee today as we look at what the market has in store for us! Just a reminder, each month we are recapping the previous month of data and we’re always looking back in time at what happened and then projecting what to expect based on this data. This means if you consider selling today, just know that the data available is always a snapshot in the past.
Should you sell before the end of 2019?
We recently wrote an article on our local Downtown Orlando blog regarding selling in 2019. A study was recently done that surveyed 100 U.S. real estate experts and economists and almost 50% that were surveyed believe the next recession will occur in 2020. Another 14% believe it will hold out until 2021. The remaining 24% stated they believe it could happen by end of 2019.
The market still favors sellers with less than 3 months of inventory in the Central Florida market available. If you are on the fence about selling, you may consider selling in 2019 before the market shifts to favor buyers. It is inevitable as every market cycles about every 10-16 years.
